New developments at Lowveld NBG |
The Lowveld Garden is undergoing a "facelift" at the moment with the help and kind sponsorship of Tsogo Sun. We are in the process of building a new and improved Visitor Centre on the bank of the Crocodile River on the opposite side of the existing entrance. This new Visitor Centre will include larger parking areas to accommodate tour and school busses more comfortably, an Art, decor and book shop, a new restaurant and a new nursery. Entrance to the Garden will now be gained via a pedestrian bridge crossing the Crocodile River and bringing you into the tropical African Rainforest. An environmental education centre is also being built with funds obtained from the Poverty Relief Program. With the great need for environmental education programs in our schools, this is centre is sure to be put to good use. We hope to have the new Visitor Centre up and running by the middle of June 2004
