For Educators
Trained staff in our Education Centre assist dedicated educators who wish to develop Learning Programmes with an environmental focus. We also facilitate workshops, in collaboration with the Gauteng Department of Education, to foster environmental literacy and promote Education for Sustainability.
Using the Botanical Garden as a resource
Educators are introduced to the Botanical Garden to use as a practical resource to enhance teaching and learning. It is also a great site for project work and can be visited annually to conduct investigations, record data, evaluate and communicate results. Assistance is provided with the structuring of projects with an environmental or botanical focus.
