September and October are our spring months. Much of our richly diverse flora are flowering at this time, making it an ideal time for a flower show. See our What's On page for details. The weather is changeable - so bring a warm jersey and waterproofs - you may need them. |

Many proteas and ericas are flowering now, as are many geophytes and interesting endemics such as Mimetes cucullatus. | |
Look out, too, for the tiny, charming, and superbly coloured Orange-Breasted Sunbird which is a fynbos endemic. The photograph shows the male of the species sitting on Brunia albiflora, another endemic. From our upper paths you may even see whales out in the bay ! |
