About NBI Publications

The NBI publishes both popular and scientific books on the plants of southern Africa and related topics. In addition to books, NBI publishes series e.g. Bothalia, Flowering Plants of Africa, Flora of southern Africa and Strelitzia. Strelitzia is a series of monographs which replaces Annals of Kirstenbosch and Memoirs of the Botanical Survey. We also sell publications from other sources.

Prices for customers in SADC countries differ from prices for customers in other foreign countries.

The main NBI Bookshop is situated in the Pretoria National Botanical Garden. The Bookshop at the Visitors' Centre at Kirstenbosch is run by the Botanical Society, not NBI.
